Who we are

Global Elbow Network (GEN) is an organization of healthcare professionals who collaborate to improve the practice of elbow surgery and care around the world.

Why GEN?

1.  Elbow is fragmented among 5 subspecialties:  shoulder & elbow, hand, trauma, sports and pediatric orthopedics.

2.  Such division results in Underdevelopment of the Elbow.

3. There are profound global disparities in the understanding and treatment of elbow problems. Elbow experts have limited experience with the problems faced by surgeons in under-resourced regions (neglected trauma, inadequate equipment), where they lack access to educational resources and opportunities.

The solution for these unmet needs is to bring people together from these divided groups, so that we may develop innovative ways to advance the subspecialty by collaborative global education, research and discovery.

Mission

Global Elbow Network (GEN) exists to advance the care of patients with elbow conditions through global collaboration.
